So, you've found your way to Hall of the Jade Assassins. Perhaps you've trekked all the way across cyberspace in the hopes of discovering riches beyond your wildest dreams, treasures of the mind, body and spirit. Or  maybe you are looking for adventures of such heroic proportions that your name will be remembered for generations to come. If so, you're probably in the wrong place and are likely deluded, but if you'd like to part with your hard-earned crazy money, then I will humor you while I'm quietly contemplating what to spend it on.
As the caretaker of the Hall of the Jade Assassins, I've seen it all, from monkey men that can cast spells and do kung-fu, to flamboyant trolls with an innate gift for redecorating bridge abodes, to nunchuck-wielding ninja gnomes. The world is a strange place and the inhabitants are getting even stranger, so we need to move with the times because the rules have changed.

Welcome to the website. My name is Dianne Owens and I am a full-time housewife, part-time writer living in south-east Queensland in Australia. I have been married for going on thirteen years with no children. I am the youngest of five children and my interest in writing set me apart from the other more manual children in my family. My oldest sister, Vicky, had a gift for writing poetry and painting landscapes, and it is because of her that I took an early interest in art, dance and music. I would add, that in spite of this I am still a poor artist, a peculiar dancer, and can't learn musical notation no matter how hard I try. Although I would love to be good at each of these things you have to prioritize and writing always comes first, as there isn't a day that goes by that I don't daydream about the adventures of one of my characters.
If you haven't noticed already the world is changing in big ways. People are embracing many of these changes, and as creators, so should we. But we should not change merely for change sake, but to adopt more efficient, more user-friendly methods for dealing with the various aspects of our everyday lives. It is about making use of all of the resources at our disposal so that we can get optimize our output and focus more on what we love doing.
Although I haven't had my writing published yet, I understand that times are a-changing. Media is changing as we speak, so are distribution and promotion models. Websites, Weblogs, Podcasts and Vidcasts are all a part of this, as are portable devices such as Kindles, Palm Pilots, iPods and WiFi radio. It is, in my humble opinion, the most subtle of revolutions, yet the most world-altering, because it affects how we work, how we play, and how we communicate.
This website is about the methods that I will be using to write, to promote and to distribute completed works. It is about who I am as a creator and that big adventure that is life. Hopefully, my experiences will offer some insight into what does and does not work. Feel free to let me know if you have ideas or suggestions on ways to improve my chances, as I am not so proud as to refuse wisdom or knowledge when it is given.
