Podcasting
Ever since I heard Scott Sigler's podcast novel Earthcore, I have been awed by the numerous possibilities that podcasting offers. Ever since then I've been immersing myself in numerous podcasts, literary and otherwise; reading up on what I'd need before I jump into the waters; and have made some purchases. I purchased a Microsoft Live Headset, Adobe Audition and Podcast Station. The Headset is pretty easy to use, and it has a button that I can press when I want to turn my voice during a recording. Adobe Audition had some hiccups when I changed over to the headset, but I've managed to organize the settings so that I can record with it now. Podcast Station took a bit of time to get used to, but now that I am using it, I realize that I need Adobe Audition for editing, due to the limitations of the Podcast Station software.
Last month I recorded and uploaded the first episode for a review show that I started at Mevio. The first episode was nerve-wracking, but now that it has been released to the public, I am forced to push past the second episode jitters to produce the next review. Unfortunately, life has created a stumbling block for recording. More recently, I have been preparing for NaNoWriMo, and that empties the tank quickly.
