Works in Progress
I will be storing the descriptions and progress meters of current projects that I'm working on upon this page. I'll be using the STORYtoolz service for tracking the primary WIP's, whilst Zokutou Wordmeters will be used for others. Although the STORYtoolz code may not be as immediately attractive, you have the ability to click on the image and see graphed information about my progress week to week through a scrollable interface.

Fox & Wolf: Fox
Flavour Text: - Caught between an Orc and a hard place...
Genre: - High Fantasy
Description: After his mentor is murdered by forces unknown, Ethan is blamed for his death. He escapes in the hopes of learning the identify of the one that killed his friend and the reasons behind the murder. After his horse bucks him off in the pitch black, Ethan stumbles upon a camp where slavers are holding a bunch of people captive, including Gatsukaiko, who has been left in her own cage so her captors can keep an eye on her. Ethan breaks her out and she saves his life in the process.
Thus begins their epic adventure, that will lead to our heroes uncovering a plot to turn the populous into undead. Allies will be lost, enemies will be gained, and the hunter will finally become the hunted.
History: After using one of the first line prompts on Writesparks Lite I came up with a scene where Ethan comes across the camp where Gatsukaiko is locked in a slave pen. Afterward I read the scene. Back stories for the characters and a plot began to form in my head, warm tendrils of creativity. I knew immediately that my Orc huntress from World of Warcraft, Gatsukaiko, and her wolf companion, Raz, had to be a part of the novel.

Valkyrie: Book #1
Flavour Text: - Times like these you need a Dragon...
Genre: - Fantasy
Description: For nearly a thousand years, the Valkyrie have ruled with an iron fist. Humanity has had enough, and will need to rally Dragonkind if they have a hope of setting themselves free and saving the planet from death.
History: I started writing some random prose in early November 2008 and what started as a simple scene turned into something much more.

Flavour Text: A reluctant Mage. An Angel on a mission. And lots of Vampires out for their blood.
Genre: Urban Fantasy / Supernatural Romance
Description: When Rachel's sister, Mary, goes missing she decides to investigate. What she finds is more than a simple kidnapping, and it will require a little help from the friendly neighborhood Archangel.
History: This story was inspired by a writing prompt from Writesparks Lite and was floating around in my head for sometime before I started to flesh out the reasons behind this mysterious young woman watching the house of her missing sister.

Montague Black & The Orb of Light
Flavour Text: - You don't have to be tall to be a hero...
Genre: - Epic Fantasy
Description: Monty is not your average gnome. He longs to travel and seeks adventure that the bards song of, heroism unheard of for more than a millenium. The reincarnation of the one known only as Pendleton, Monty is destined to save world from the Demon lord Ziffon, a being that has been searching for his enemy since the day that Montague was placed upon the doorstep of his adopted family. Before he can meet his destiny he will need to gather together a band of allies and find the legendary Orb of Light. Unfortunately for Monty, heroism isn't as easy as it sounds.
History: The idea for this series came to me in 2005, when I wrote a scene for a writing challenge. The first draft for the scene involving Monty and Jasper Black sat on my hard drive until late 2006 when I dusted off the cobwebs and read it again. A few months later I'd stewed on the idea of telling the story of Monty, a gnome with a destiny. I've tinkered with the idea a bit over the past year and a half, and anticipate a full rewrite sometime soon.
